2015 Service Bowl Takes Boston by Storm
Seattle Mayor Ed Murray joined Boston Mayor Marty Walsh for a day of service in Boston with AmeriCorps members for the third-annual Service Bowl.
The event is traditionally hosted by the mayor of the Super Bowl winning city as the mayor of the defeated team’s city travels for a day of service projects with national service members and other volunteers.
Murray and Walsh worked with AmeriCorps Director Bill Basl on service projects at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church Youth Programs, and other volunteers to help create a basketball court and repaint a kitchen and art room.
The March 21 event was organized by the state commission on service and volunteerism.

May your blessings outnumber
The shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day from your friends at the Corporation for National and Community Service.
